Coming Events

Video Project in April. For the month of April, we will be working on a video project about the carbon footprint of typical Canadian food. The finished project will be screened for the whole congregation! Your special talents are needed (either on or off screen) so please come out to lend a hand with this awesome project!

"Improvising Life", an evening of improv from junior youth to adults with Rev. Meg Roberts, Friday, May 1, 7:30 - 9:00 PM. Meg is hosting a night of improvisation. We'll do fun improv games as well as create scenes from the life of a "typical" Unitarian family! Some of the best scenes may even end up as part of the Sunday service, May 10. (You don't have to be in the service to come and have some fun.)  Sign-up sheet on the board in Wickenden Hall or contact Rev. Meg Roberts (403-230-8938).

National UU Youth Conference ("CanUUdle"), Thunder Bay, May 15-18. A person's formative years are paramount in determining who they will become. Not only that, they're fun! CanUUdle IX will take you back to a time less complicated. Relaxing, invigorating, inspirational and fun, the plan is to bring it back to the basics of Kindergarten. Youth and youth allies from across the country will come and enjoy, leaving with a new- or renewed- sense of wide-eyed wonder. In an exciting, inclusive and supportive community we'll make messes, dance wildly, laugh uncontrollably, explore our inner depths, look at the world from a different perspective, and maybe even learn something. Join us! There might even be finger painting. Click HERE for registration forms

Imagining Youth Ministry, May 29-31, Toronto. Imagining Youth Ministry is a visioning meeting to explore what youth ministry can and should be in Canada. Want to be a part of this imaginative and important event apply today. The event will bring recommendations about the future of youth ministry in Canada. Goldmine Youth Leadership School, August 16-21, Mississauga. An intense five-day school for youth (14 to 18 years old) where you will: develop your personal creed, deepen your knowledge of Unitarian Universalists' challenging religious heritage and values, expand your skills for growing healthy groups, explore paths of worship, hone leadership skills so you can better heal our world, and learn to be a better leader and communicator. For further information, click HERE.
